Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall by Kate and SarinaWe love swimming. Our birthdays are in August. When fall comes in September the sun is directly over the equator. We get to rake leaves. We are happy and sad.
Our Tree by Xander We chose a tree to look at for the whole school year. It's good to climb. It's really shady. I picked that tree. It is in front of the school. We are watching the big tree for the year. We want to know what it looks like during the whole school year.
A Tree To Watch by AdenWe chose a tree to look at for the whole school year. It is a big tree. I was one of the people that wanted to look at the tree for the whole year. We wanted that tree because it is big, shady, and has benches around it. We voted to decide which tree to observe. Our tree won. It is in front of the school.

Highlights From Habitat Day by Sulley On Habitat Day a beekeeper came. Her name is Lydia and she goes to Upper Arlington High School. We saw a queen bee and it had a blue dot in the middle. The bees were covering the queen bee. The bees were doing something with the honey. The bees did not stop moving. Cookbook Covers By Augusta, Lucy, and MillieWe were in Mrs. Stechschulte's room making cookbook covers to sell at our Farmer's Market at Clown Around. They have recipes in them to go green and be healthy. We used Sharpie, fabric, and card stock. When we were done they looked fabulous! We did it on Habitat Day. Friday. September 10, 2010
The butterfly comes out!
Phoebe’s Monarch chrysalis turned black on Thursday morning. We thought it was almost ready to hatch. Before math we saw its wings were ready to come out. It was exciting to see the wings getting ready to come out. During math class we discovered the Monarch butterfly hatched. We were surprised it did it so quickly. Mrs. Dunn put it into the butterfly house so it could fly and drink sugar water.
By Aden, Jasper, Kennedy, Lucy, Sarina, and Will
We drew pictures and wrote field notes about Phoebe's and Zack's Monarch butterflies.
We went into the garden this week to see if it had everything a butterfly needed to survive. We think it would be a good habitat because there is a butterfly bush, water and lots of space. By Jasper
Today I am going to let my butterfly go. I had him for 30 days. I want him to be free. I don't want him to be scared because he should be wild. By Zack
